Privacy Policy

QuarterTurn (“we”, “us”) provides an app for tracking bodybuilding progress photos. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. If anything here is unclear, email us at info@coedge.studio.
Information we collect
- Account information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture. If you sign in with an email and password instead, we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store or have access to your actual password).
- Progress photos — photos you take or import in the app, along with the metadata you attach to them (pose, show, date, weight, and notes).
- Push notification token — a device identifier used to send you reminder notifications, if you enable them.
- Waitlist / contact email — if you join our waitlist on the website, or try to sign in to the app before you have an invite, we keep your email so we can reach out when access opens up.
How we use it
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To store and organize your progress photos so you can compare them over time.
- To send reminder notifications you've opted into.
- To contact you about beta access if you've joined the waitlist or requested it.
Where it's stored
Account details and photo metadata are stored in our own database. Photo and avatar image files are stored with Cloudflare R2, a cloud storage provider, and are only ever accessed through short-lived, per-user authorized links — they are not publicly browsable.
Third parties
We work with a small number of service providers:
- Google — for Google Sign-In, if you choose to use it.
- Cloudflare — for storing photo and avatar files.
- Expo and Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver push notifications to your device.
We do not use any analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising purposes.
Sharing and exporting
When you export a check-in to send to your coach, QuarterTurn builds the image on your device and hands it to your phone's native share options — for example Messages, Mail, or AirDrop. That transmission happens directly from your device through the destination you choose; our servers aren't involved in it.
Data retention and your rights
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Doing so permanently deletes your photos from storage and removes your account and associated data from our database. You can also request deletion by emailing info@coedge.studio.
Children's privacy
QuarterTurn is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
